Conservatori i Escola de Música de la Diputació a Tortosa

Jacob presentarà un concert informatiu pels alumnes del conservatori, amb eclèctic amb peces evocatius des de el barroc fins ara.

El 24 de maig, Jacob faré la enregistrament d'un video de la obra guanyadora del quinta edició del Certamen Llobet de composició a Barcelona.

Nascut a Madrid el 1978, va començar els estudis de música als sis anys. Es va traslladar a Bèlgica, on va estudiar i va ensenyar al Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles, realitzant concerts a Europa. Del 2010 al 2024 va dirigir Soundshine Studios, composant i produint música per a esdeveniments, cinema i televisió. La seva obra “Haiku na1 per a guitarra” va ser estrenada al Palais des Beaux Arts de Bruxelles.

Jaob Cordover is currently working with Canadian Puppeteer Tim Gosley (who worked with Jim Henson on Fraggle Rock and Sesame StreetI) to bring to life the beautiful poems of Juan Ramón Jiménez in a production of

Platero and I
for guitar, narrator and pupeteer

with music by Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco

During live performances, Tim manipulates and animates illustrations through a techniques he calls LOW-TECH MULTIMEDIA - projections with the analogue comfort and intimacy that puppetry brings to performances in our computer age.

Adrià's Confessions (2020) is a concerto for guitar and orchestra written by the award-winning composer Marián Budoš (Australia/Slovakia). The concerto is inspired by the million-copy best-selling novel Confessions (Jo Confesso) by the author Jaume Cabré. Australian guitarist Jacob Cordover gave the premiere performance in 2021 at the iconic Palau de la Música concert hall in Barcelona with the Orquestra del Reial Cercle Artistic under the baton of Helena Bayo.

Adrià's Confessions is the result of art inspiring art across cultures, languages and mediums. After reading the celebrated multi-award winning, literary masterpiece Confessions by the Catalonian novelist Jaume Cabré, Marián Budoš was so deeply impacted by the story, that it sparked within him the need to create a sound world for this book. This became the foundation for a unique piece of music, a book-concerto for guitar and orchestra.
